The article considers and deeply analyzes the issue of skills formed on the basis of new methods and approaches arising under the influence of media convergence, digitization, social, economic and technological changes in journalists’ creative activity. The scientific-theoretical views of foreign experts on the professional activity of journalists have been researched. In addition, in the creative laboratory of journalists representing different cultures, the acceleration of convergent processes, the types of editorials in the convergent format were widely analyzed on the example of a number of journalistic materials.
Internet journalists of 3 countries (Uzbekistan, China and UK) have been identified as having unique skills. In particular, it was found that in Uzbekistan, editorial staff, today's universalized journalists can present “Photo” and “Video” columns with special attention to multimedia genres in order to attract a large audience, establish cooperation with the Payme electronic payment system, and possibility of subscription to newspapers without leaving home. Unlike Uzbekistan, China’s media is developing under active cross-cultural communication, transition to the Internet, censorship, new approaches to understanding the opinion of journalists, so it is analyzed that the Chinese network media environment occupies a stable and influential position in the development, innovation and creation of new media. As a result of the beginning of a new phase in the UK Internet media, publications that do not have an offline version will lose popularity; economic and technological changes during the last decades have a serious impact on the country's media sector. Such issues as information, standards development, presentation styles, publication genre palettes, and layouts have been explored as many publications have moved toward format minimization.
