Academician Professor Dr. Gulandom H. Bakieva is a distinguished Uzbek scholar, educator, and academic leader whose work has significantly contributed to the development of higher education and philological sciences in Uzbekistan. She was born on 27 November 1949 in Jizzakh into a family of intellectuals. She graduated from the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (1971) and the Republican Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature (1976). She earned her Doctor of Philological Sciences degree in 1993 with the dissertation “A Linguistic Analysis of the Literary Text” and was awarded the academic title of Professor in 1998. Her research focuses on speech culture, phonology, communication, terminology, lexicography, and general linguistics. In 2018, she was elected Academician of both the Turon Academy of Sciences and the International Academy of Sciences of Pedagogical Education.

PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor, Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (SFHEA, Advance HE, UK) Khikmatullo Urazbaev is a distinguished scholar, academic leader, and higher education practitioner with extensive experience in teaching, learning, curriculum development, and quality assurance in higher education. He holds a PhD in Pedagogy from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (2021), an MA in TESOL from Sheffield Hallam University (UK) (2016), and a Master's degree in Translation Theory and Practice from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (2007).

Professor Karomat Mullakhojayeva is a scholar who obtained the academic degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences (2005) in the field of the history of Uzbek literature.
Her extensive scholarly expertise encompasses such areas as the history of Uzbek literature, issues of Sufism and literary creativity, classical historical poetics, and comparative literary studies.

Professor Karomat Mullakhojayeva has published more than 150 scholarly works in national and international publications, including three books.
Under her academic supervision, four PhD researchers have successfully defended their dissertations.

Abdurakhim Abdimutalipovich Nasirov is a distinguished Uzbek scholar, professor, and leader in public and higher education specializing in comparative and contrastive linguistics, issues of phraseology, properties of proverbial phraseologisms, language policy, translation studies, and methodology of teaching foreign languages, including the French language. He is the author of more than 120 scientific publications, monographs, textbooks, dictionaries, and research articles published in national and international academic journals.
Professor Nasirov currently serves as Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU). Previously, he worked as Associate Professor and Professor at UzSWLU and for more than 15 years held various positions at the Ministry of Public Education and the Education Inspectorate, making a significant contribution to education reforms, research development, and internationalization initiatives.

Dilbar Rakhimovna Dzhumanova is a distinguished scholar with a H index of 4. She holds a PhD degree in Speciality Code 13.00.02 – Methodology of Teaching the Russian Language (1992) and a Doctor of Sciences (DSc) degree in Speciality Code 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics and Translation Studies (2016).
Her interdisciplinary research experience encompasses comparative linguistics and translation studies, intercultural communication, linguistic cognition, and linguoculturology. She is the author of two monographs and textbooks on Russian phonetics, lexicology, and lexicography. In addition, she is engaged in translation from Uzbek into Russian and in editing Russian-language texts.
Professor Dilbar Rakhimovna Dzhumanova has authored more than 190 scientific publications in international and national journals and conference proceedings.
Her scholarly works have received more than 20 citations, and her H index is 4.

Ergasheva Guli Ismoil qizi is a distinguished Uzbek scholar, professor, and academic leader specializing in applied linguistics, gender studies, language policy, translation studies, experimental phonetics, and natural language processing. She is the author of more than 90 scientific publications, monographs, textbooks, dictionaries, and research articles published in national and international academic journals. Throughout her academic career, Professor Ergasheva has held a number of leadership positions in higher education. She currently serves as Dean of the English First Faculty at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) and Director of the UzWAVE Gender Research Center. Previously, she worked as Associate Professor, Professor, Deputy Dean, and Dean at UzSWLU, contributing significantly to educational reforms, research development, and internationalization initiatives.

Professor Halim Saidov is a distinguished scholar who holds the academic degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Journalism (Philology) (1998) and Doctor of Science (DSc) (2021).
His multidisciplinary research expertise encompasses media theory, the history of the Jadid press, publicistic writing, the development of information genres, and specialization in journalism.
Professor Halim Saidov has authored 130 scholarly publications, including 17 books and 11 book chapters published by reputable publishing houses.

Professor Dr. Ilyos Ismoilov is a scholar with a growing H-index (h=2), holding a PhD in Comparative Literature and Translation Studies (2019) and a DSc in the History of Uzbek Literature (2023).
His multidisciplinary research expertise encompasses Eastern classical literature, particularly the history of Uzbek literature, the works of Alisher Navoi, the tradition of Khamsa writing (comparative analysis of the Xamsas of Nizami Ganjavi, Khusrav Dehlavi, and Abdurahman Jami), Sufi literature, and issues in comparative literary studies.

Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Zohid Sodiqov is a distinguished scholar with an H-index of 10. He holds the academic degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Science (DSc) in Philology (1995, 2020) and has also completed postdoctoral training (2014, 2018).
His interdisciplinary research expertise encompasses comparative and contrastive translation studies, comparative literature, Turkology, and comparative studies. He is the author of several monographs and translation dictionaries in the fields of German studies and German grammar. In addition, he is actively engaged in literary translation from Uzbek into German and from German into Uzbek. His translations were published by the Schlosser Publishing House in Friedberg, Germany, in 2012 and 2013.
Professor Sodiqov has authored more than 120 scholarly publications, including over 10 international journal articles. His research has received more than 15 citations, and his H-index is 8.
He has successfully supervised 6 PhD and postdoctoral researchers, as well as more than 100 M.Phil., M.Sc., and B.S. students.
Professor Z. Sodiqov is a member of the German-Uzbek Scientific Society (DUWG) and the German-Uzbek Friendship Society (DUFG).

Klimentina Ismailova is an Uzbek scholar and experienced higher education teacher specializing in international and audiovisual journalism, PR and advertising, and media education. She is the author of over 150 scientific publications, monographs, textbooks, and research articles published in national and international academic journals.
Klimentina Ismailova actively participates in national and international academic and educational projects. Since 1997, she has worked as a media trainer. She has collaborated on projects with the offices of the OSCE, UNDP, UNESCO, UNICEF, USAID, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the World Health Organization, the NGO Regional Dialogue (Slovenia), and others in Uzbekistan. From 2013 to 2023, she was a trainer for the DVV INTERNATIONAL representative office in Uzbekistan (adult education projects). She holds a certificate as an international media trainer under the European Curriculum globALE ​​(CG) program. She has conducted master classes in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

На основании решения Научного совета № 273/1 при Ташкентском государственном институте востоковедения от 30 декабря 2019 года Верховная аттестационная комиссия Республики Узбекистан присудила ей ученую степень доктора философии (PhD) по филологическим наукам и вручила соответствующий диплом.
16 июля 2024 года И.С. Кахарова защитила диссертацию на соискание ученой степени доктора филологических наук (DSc) на тему «Лингвопрагматическое исследование эмотивных, звукоподражательных и модальных слов в английском и узбекском языках» по специальности 10.00.06 – Сравнительное литературоведение, сопоставительное языкознание и переводоведение. По данной теме ею опубликовано 37 научных и научно-методических работ.

Solijon Uchmas ogli Azizov is one of the promising young scholars of Uzbekistan and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pedagogical Sciences (2025). He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Science (DSc) degree in Comparative and Contrastive Linguistics at Uzbekistan State World Languages University. His research interests encompass foreign language education, comparative linguistics, cognitive linguistics, literary discourse analysis, and the application of blended learning technologies in higher education.

Boldyrev Nikolay Nikolayevich is a distinguished Russian scholar, professor, and academic leader specializing in cognitive linguistics, figurative language studies, and lexicology. He is the author of more than 410 scientific publications, monographs, textbooks, and research articles published in local and international academic journals.
From August 1977 until now has been affiliated with this institute (which in 1994 was reorganized into Tambov state university named after G.R.Derzhavin) first as tutor, then: senior lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor, professor, head of the department (13 years), dean of the faculty (5 years), vice-rector for science and research (18 years), director of the Cognitive research center (at present time).

Anthony Liddicoat is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Linguistics, Professor at the Centre for Applied Linguistics, University of Warwick, and Adjunct Professor at the University of South Australia. Thierry Zarcone is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History and holder of the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR). He serves as Research Director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Ono Masaki is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Linguistics and Professor at the University of Tsukuba. His research focuses on Japanese linguistics and Japanese language education, particularly functional grammar, pragmatics, communication skills, politeness expressions, the contextualization and application of the CEFR to Japanese language education, and the development of digital learning resources. Rodmonga Potapova is a Doctor of Philology, Professor, and Director of the Institute of Applied and Mathematical Linguistics at Moscow State Linguistic University. Her research focuses on Germanic linguistics, theoretical, experimental, mathematical, and applied linguistics, speech studies, linguopragmatics, forensic phonetics, and the psychology of speech. She is the author of more than 650 scholarly publications and the founder of a scientific school in applied phonetics, multimodal communication, and speech technologies. Hans-Werner Huneke is a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. phil.), Professor, former Rector of Heidelberg University of Education, and a distinguished scholar in the field of German language didactics. His research focuses on German language didactics, German as a Foreign Language (DaF), the development of writing skills, text competence, multilingualism, and language teaching methodology.
