This article provides a scientific analysis of the process of formation of parallel corpuses, their linguistic structure and role in translation studies. The main purpose of the study is to identify the structural and functional capabilities of parallel corpora, determine their importance in the translation process and show their importance in improving the quality of translation. For this purpose, the theoretical foundations of corpus linguistics, types of corpuses, principles of adaptation and areas of application were considered. The main objectives of the study are to systematically analyze the stages of formation of parallel corpuses, determine the equivalence between source and target texts in different languages, and determine the possibilities of using the corpus in the translation process. The study used comparative and descriptive methods. The comparative method was used to analyze the semantic, syntactic and stylistic similarities and differences between texts in English, Russian and Uzbek. The descriptive method provided detailed information about the structure of parallel corpora, database formation, level of alignment and areas of application. According to the results of the study, the use of parallel corpora is an effective tool for improving translation quality, determining intertextual equivalence and improving automatic translation systems. In conclusion, parallel corpora are of great importance in translation studies from both theoretical and practical points of view, and provide broad scientific and practical opportunities for translators, linguists and artificial intelligence systems.
