Today, the Turkestan Jadidism movement is receiving significant attention as an important subject of academic research in the field of Central Asian history and culture. In international scholarly sources, this movement is studied from various perspectives and approaches, with evolving academic views on its role in national awakening, cultural modernization, and political activity. Therefore, the interpretation and understanding of the concepts of the “Turkestan Jadidism movement” and the “Jadids” in foreign academic literature represent a highly relevant scholarly issue in the present day.
The main objective of this study is to systematically analyze the social, cultural, and political aspects of the Jadidism movement as presented in foreign academic sources and to determine its place in international scholarly discourse. The research involves several tasks: collecting theoretical and historical data from foreign sources, examining the cultural and political context of the Jadids’ image, and identifying the unique features and differences in these interpretations.
The study employs historical-analytical, comparative, content analysis, and textual methods to thoroughly examine materials from foreign literature. The results indicate that in international academic circles, the Jadidism movement is interpreted not only as a process of national awakening and cultural modernization but also as an essential component of political activism. The representation of the “Jadids” in the global academic sphere enables a deeper appreciation of their role and significance in the history of the peoples of Turkestan.
In conclusion, the comprehensive analysis of the concepts of the “Turkestan Jadidism movement” and the “Jadids” in foreign academic literature contributes to a broader understanding of this historical movement within a global cultural and political context and helps develop new scholarly perspectives on national history and culture.
