This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role of tolerance strategies in achieving cooperation in communication among German-speaking individuals. The main objective of the study is to examine and analyze the impact of political correctness as a crucial component of tolerance strategies on intercultural communication. The article explores in detail the differences in cultural norms and the potential barriers they may create in the communication process. This is especially important in intercultural communication, as people from different cultural backgrounds rely on their national traditions, social values, and communicative behavior. Therefore, the role of tolerance strategies in establishing effective and constructive dialogue is of paramount importance.
Within the framework of this study, cooperation is viewed as a natural component of communication. Successful communication requires taking into account the interests of interlocutors and treating them with respect. The research objectives include analyzing the use of tolerance strategies in dialogues in German and Uzbek, identifying the role of political correctness in intercultural communication, and examining how this practice is applied in German- and Uzbek-speaking communities. As research methods, a communicative, pragmatic, and synthesized analysis of dialogues available on the YouTube platform was conducted. This allowed the author to study various interaction scenarios in depth and analyze their outcomes.
The study results indicate that the use of political correctness significantly reduces the number of conflict situations in communication and, as a result, ensures effective cooperation. This practice is particularly widespread in German-speaking countries. In the Uzbek-speaking community, political correctness is mainly observed in official and political spheres; however, interest in such practices is growing. This opens up new prospects for the development of intercultural communication. The study’s conclusions may be especially useful for linguists, diplomats, and political scientists working with a German-speaking audience.
