Cognitive Features of Text Analysis and Cross-Cultural Pragmatics

Since the second half of the last century, the field of linguistics has established an integral connection with the disciplines of psychology, sociology, and logic. Cognitive science encompasses this interdisciplinary domain.
The objective of this research is to comprehensively examine the fundamental principles and theoretical concepts of cognitive linguistics, as well as to identify conceptual units within this scientific field, review methodological approaches in detail, and demonstrate their significance in scientific inquiry. By investigating the methodological approaches employed in cognitive linguistics and their application in empirical research, this study aims to provide a deeper understanding of the role cognitive linguistics plays in contemporary linguistic studies.
The purpose of this research is to elucidate the significance of the conceptual units that facilitate the understanding of cognitive linguistics, specifically scenario, script, frame, and gestalt orientations, through the provision of examples. Conceptual units are constructs that form the foundation of cognitive linguistics. This is because cognitive activity is a concept that regulates the processes that occur in our mind, and these processes are executed with the assistance of conceptual units. Subsequently, a mental structure-concept is formed, through which we are able to communicate.
Consequently, classification, description, cognitive analysis, and comparative analysis methods are employed in this research. Particular attention is given to the internal structure of the text. When we perceive any process through our cognition, its manifestation is revealed through cognitive analysis.
In conclusion, this article investigates the relationship between the cognitive aspects of text analysis and cross-cultural pragmatics. The research demonstrates that interpreting a text at a cognitive level facilitates a more comprehensive understanding, aids in the identification of cultural disparities, and supports the execution of effective communicative tasks. Furthermore, it corroborates the distinctiveness of language pragmatics rules and attitudes across diverse cultural contexts.
